The 68K Macs were fine back in the mid 1980's, but ran out of steam in the 1990's and thus the PowerPC chip was used instead. They did what they could to work around issues with the 68K hardware, and I am sure that Pascal was kind of big back then. The same with the Amiga 68K line. Now like Apple, Amiga has to reinvent itself and create a next generation OS. The AmigaOne and AmigaOS 4.0 make the next generation Amiga.
