Long and Short guns and hall clearers

12 guage pump for you, a 20 guage for her. Mini 14 rifle for you/her, fires a .223 like the m16 and you can still find large capacity magazines for them. A M1 or a 30-06 to reach out and touch someone >200 yards out. I like the browning highpower 9mm for a pistol but that is a very subjective and personal decision. Find a local shooting range and put some rounds thru some rental pistols. For the lady perhaps a 38 short barrel so she can hold it up into the body of the opponent and pull the trigger until empty.
