Sure its an uncomfortable pain in the ass garment...but its expected and likley won't be explained away during the interview. Not wearing it would be taken as disrespectful. On the West Coast I was told when I asked, "They'd probably run away screaming if you showed up in a suit." In interviews, I'd dress accordingly.
