RB is an amazing guitarist. He's also a totally self-obsessed wanker, which is why he got booted from band after band. He's also prone to talking bollocks.
That's probably because he's an amazing guitarist.
The Dixie Chicks are a mainstream pap band, who are perfectly competent at what they do. They're far from competent at politics, but because they have a platform they insist on wibbling on about things they'd be better off keeping schtum about.
THAT was my point. I couldn't care less about the audible output of either the Dixie Chicks or Ritchie Blackmore.
