I was just surprised that it wasn't at least mentioned as it caused a big splash and was a best seller for a long time. He must have heard of it. I've not read any of Brin's stuff before (e.g., it's been ages since I curled up with a science fiction novel, and I haven't read TTS either). I've got too much on my plate now to try to talk with him about it. And it really doesn't matter anyway. ;-) Thanks for the prodding though. Cheers, Scott.
