When I see someone act in a way that I thought that they wouldn't, often I look at what they are doing and why, and see if I can figure out how to understand the behaviour so that it fits. For instance my image of Barry is that he isn't a PHB, yet he is acting like a PHB. Which leads me to ask if I can understand the behaviour as arising from a non-PHB approach. In this case I think that I can. So it doesn't bother me. Even though very similar reasoning from someone without a clue would drive me crazy. The significant difference, of course, being that Barry actually can properly evaluate the skills needed to do the job that he wants done.
