New Patently false: DHTML is not the same as DOM
JavaScript and DHTML are common reasons for browser bugs and lock-ups IME. Perhaps in some cases one can dictate only certain browser versions and brands to reduce that risk, but that is often not the case.

DHTML is not the same as DOM.

The JS/DOM code I wrote works in Mozilla, Netscape 6, and IE 5.X+ with absolutely no browser-specific code whatsoever.

New I did not say it was
>> DHTML is not the same as DOM <<

Even if by some miracle it is less buggy than DHTML, JS is always croaking when I do stuff on the web. Even big names like Yahoo have crashing JS.

New JS/DOM is not the same as DHTML.
So quit using your experience in DHTML as your excuse to bash DOM. They aren't the same.

I've left my realtime update scripts running overnight at a rate of 200 updates per second, without crashing and without any problems.
