Things are OK here. We just refinanced our home today - it's really nice to get rid of an 8.875% 15 year second mortgage, a 7% 30 year first mortgage and roll it all into a 5.5% 15 year first mortgage with about the same monthly payment. :-)

My inlaws (85 and 84) have been living with us for about 8 months now. They're doing OK, but it's tough to see them go downhill and watch the rate of change increase. It's hell getting old. :-(

My Mom (64) has recovered partially from her stroke, but she's still got some weakness on her left side and perception problems. She never seems to perceive things on her left so she does things like always look right when walking through a mall. She'll never be able to live on her own again, but she hasn't yet accepted that. :-(

The job's going fine. The wife's doing well (she got her braces off today and is very happy about that). And the dog is always really happy to see us when we come home. I can't really ask for much more than that. :-)

Cheers,
Scott.
