Blending for a few seconds may be good for a base purée, but heating in a blender? Blending for 8 minutes or more? Nothing I'd be interested in. That would be totally out of control. I rarely use a food processor for chopping, because by time they get stuff chopped evenly, it's chopped way too fine.
