New I think I may
A liter of Jack Daniels over ice while operating the grill certainly was educational :-)

New Yeah. Girlymen!
New I've heard legends about that stuff :)
Smile,
Amy
New I've piled lots of it
though I've had more Ricardo than Pernod; basically the same thing but less money down at the liquor store.
New Ricard, no o. Yes, in my experience, it's what the French...
...drink. At least the Provencal folks (Lyonnaise, et environs) I consorted with some twenty-plus years ago. (I think that may have been because it was [relatively] local to them.)

New I happen to have
a bottle of Ricard in my fridge as we speak. Some friend who hail from the Gallic Way gave it to us a while back.

Wicked stuff, that.
Smile,
Amy
New Last time I had that
was on the bench during a soccer game in the outskirts of Beauvais.

Drink this, they say, it will keep you warm.

It did :-)

New Yes, I recall when I was dating the Apache princess . . .
We went down to Hollywood to a Greek restaurant to celebrate someone's birthday, I don't remember if it was her's or mine. She was familiar with Greek restaurants because she'd been married to a Greek sailor at the age of 16 (and assured me everything you've heard about Greek sailors is true).

Rounds of ouzo were traded with other diners and a good time was had by all.

While driving past the Burbank Airport I first noticed some misbehavior of my vehicle. Stopped to inspect and found I had a flat rear tire. I have no idea when it went flat or how long it had been flat, but that's when I first noticed it.

New absinthe is better for the wild willies
I remember once upon a time in gibralter a mate was extolling pernod and I made a bet that I could finish a bottle of bacardi 151 and he couldnt finish a bottle of pernod. Dont know who won that bet but I finished mine, heaving didnt count and that was one of the few times I have ever had a hangover. The next day us miscreants were read the riot act at captains mast and put over the side of the ship on scaffolding, on the sunny side and painted it with oil based paint. 80 plus degrees, no wind in the sun and warm brakish water to drink. Much puking overboard by all.
thanx,
bill

New Unfortunately, the recipe for real Absinthe was lost.
Due to an accidental oversight in EU law Absinthe is now legal in Europe and several manufacturers are attempting to put it back in production, but but most is rot gut.

Analyzing bottles of "pre-ban" absinthe did no good since nearly all fake.

An American chemist has come up with the best recipe (by a very wide margin, I hear) and believes it's the real stuff. He's having it manufactured in Europe because it's still illegal in the U.S. (though that is being worked on).

New Heard about that
He found a bottle that was 150 years old or somesuch.

New Er, is tequila unavailable in bonny old GB?
Worst drunk I've ever had. Followed by the worst hangover ever experienced by this human male.

Never again. I know I am not alone on this.

New Depends on your Tequila
I've got some aged 150-proof that's really very nice. I've also got some tequila brought to me from Mexico by a "friend" - "bottled" in the very same plastic cube as is customary for 90 weight hypoid gear oil. Have I tried it? Just how stupid do you think I am?

New And what might Tigertailz, in turn, have meant...?
A not too far-fetched guess, IMnshO, is that they made the exact same error as Darrell. (Although in their case it may of course have been intentional.)

Kind of ferrous, innit?
