SAGA ends in a half assed draw

I looked at the clutch. It did indeed give an appearance of a 80k mile clutch. Looked at hot spots on the flywheel. I dont ride a clutch I dont hardly use the fucking thing but from a techie standpoint it looked like wear so my dime. $1100.

Get the manager, explain why I am not gonna buy a clutch every six months. Blue book on the car is $3500 low wholesale (zero resale value on these things)I owe north of $8500 So deal was He gave me 8500 trade in value (remember I paid 8900 for it new) and I pay sticker price on a new (automatic this time)loaded 2006 model. After hunkering with the service manager and the warranty book there are no largish replacement costs on this one. All the big stuff is covered under the 10 yr 100k warranty. Unfortunately (for me) car has all the bells and whistles including a speedometer that claims to go to 140mph (I will check that claim in due time) so was pricy at 17k sticker. (margins arnt that hot on these things) the wife of course loves the dam thing.

Drove it home, nice pickup, handling etc and the airconditioning is frigid. They claim that the gas milage is 34-38 better than the other one.

So not really out, not really happy but fair enough.
