Nah, actually they want me to look the other way and pretend they aren't doing things they are doing like lying about me, sneaking around and hurting people.

Tell a couple of your critics to butt out and see what happens. I guarantee that no injury will be caused (unless a couple of geeks falling out of their chairs in surprise). I'll bet that several people will react very well.


Well I started being more assertive recently, as of about a year ago, and it shook some people up, trust me. Some people reacted well, as in, hey, it's about time you stood up for yourself. Others, well they were furious that I changed.

If you think that I'm off base, just tell me off and see what happens!


I don't think you're off base completely, but I don't think it's about being assertive, more like being honest. They can't stand me when I catch them doing something wrong, or when I uphold my morals it seems.

I have NFC how people on other forums feel. But we tend to like to see people do something more than just complain about their lives.

Ah, I'm sorry, I misunderstood you then. Well, the person in question pretty much does just that, 24-7, complains about his life. And honestly, I got sick of it, although that isn't what made me cut him out of my life.

I have tried to change my life, I used to be someone who complained about my life all the time, was depressed, leaned on everyone, and now I've been trying to change that for years, and feel I've been fairly successful.

If you feel I was complaining here, I apologize, I mostly was addressing the concept of flaming and applying it to my life. :)

In fact I would suggest that the next thing for you to work on could be stopping apologizing about things that aren't your fault.

Reminds me of a joke about Canadians. (I can tell those because I am one. As opposed to Americans who can tell them because they don't care. I'm one of those as well...)

Yeah, I know, I take the guilt for a lot of things I shouldn't. ;) I'm trying hard to learn not to, but when you've been a doormat for so long it's not an easy thing to learn right off the bat. :)
