Last night, 6:20pm. We rocked the HOUSE! :D
Any mistakes are my fault, but I've got an excuse. I'm new!
Hurt me if you must, but let the duckie go!

Aww, that was cute
She's bouncy. You seem a bit (hmm) distracted.

A-yup.
Didn't want to trip and fall on my face in front of the crowd. I had brand new shoes on, and I now have blisters on my feet the size of Montana.
(And yes, I know what you think was distracting me. Or were implying was distracting me. Would you belive those were the last things I was paying attention to? Her boyfriend was in the audience, too...)

Actually, no
I have no idea of what you were being distracted about. You just seemed not all there. Note: not knocking the performance - it was great. Watching your face, though, showed some distraction.

Well, yeah.
1. I've been dancing for two months. 2. We'd danced together maybe four times together for this event. 3. At that exact time last week, I was telling a bus driver that the human road pizza under her wheels wasn't her fault.
I think it's rather understandable that I was a bit distracted. Give me a year, and I'll be doing [link|http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XEqkLe8XeQ|Brian Setzer videos]. ;) There's an aerials class that starts at the end of the month I'll probably be taking.

Nevermind him, Thane. There's always a critic.

Guess I'm a critic too. :P
I actually agree with him. I think I was great, given all that had happened - but I definitely see room for improvement as well. Which is as it should be... If I ever stop seeing room for improvement in what I do, then it's quittin' time.

Looks good!
There's nothing amiss that a little experience wouldn't fix. It was definitely a preformance: but well done!

Good shew!
(To quote an Emcee few here will recall. Live, anyway)
And a great selection.. imagine a Krupa solo for a breather, somewhere in the middle. Glad to see that Swing survives in a nation of non-participants (could probably save $100B/yr. in med costs too, if as many did this to real live instruments -?- as usually just sit/watch stage concerts.)
But Hey! *nobody* does this with New Shoes; now you know Why :-/
Betcha the third time you do this routine, you'll bring off the flip - ya just gots to sync up that partner-partner manic energy; what a great way to run amok..

There's no such thing as a fat lindy hopper...
Actually, the back flip didn't come off because G. pulled her back doing that exact move the day before in practice. I leaned back, she stopped to talk to me, and me not knowing that she'd done that yanked her forward.
Ooops. :D
We actually only "practiced" together TWICE before this show, and have danced together a couple of times before that.
The new shoes - well, I *had* shoes, and they broke, and I needed a new pair pronto. :P

You'll get over the stage jitters, and when you do, you'll understand why performance is so addictive....
