Posting at behest of the wife (though I concur with purpose)
to thank all that ventured forth to that bastion of Philadelphia suburbanite living that is New Jersey and enjoyed the festivities celebrating the birth of my wife (and Critter) and our country...the gathering that has been officially christened as the "beep bash".
As far as I can tell, a great time was had by all (at least up until the recovery period).
Keep in mind, this is an annual event that happens on the Saturday closest to the 4th...making next years party tentatively scheduled for 7 and 7.

I got to relax and celebrate my birthday...
...unlike Rita who got to slave away the whole time. :-)
Thanks for a great gathering.

She was actually very good this year
was very social instead of rushing about cleaning all day.
I was very proud.

The weather was perfect. The food was incredible. And...
The variety of beers was mindboggling. I loved those tutti-fruity beers Greg was drinking and the Flying Fish beer. +10 on the ThunderBurp scale!
This bash was so much fun. So much talking and laughing! There were so many good lines you would have thought you were at Kate Moss's apartment!
Thanks Beep and Rita for your hospitality. You outdid yourselves again!
Hugs, Amy

It seems to have hit the national press.
It looks like the party was so perfect, Gov. Corzine recognized it couldn't be topped. Thus, he decided to [link|http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/02/nyregion/02corzine.html?ex=1151985600&en=40abf07beaf6a61f&ei=5087%0A|shut down] the NJ government.
Last year, Rita was a hurricane. This year, the NJ government shut down. What will next year's Beep Bash bring?
;-)
Cheers, Scott.

You guys rock
That you so much for the wonderful time and hospitality. I was obligated to go to another 4th of July party last night. The fireworks were worse than Barry's, the company was mediocre, and the sight of alcohol made me ill. The magic just wasnt there.
