Its a pretty reliable kind of middlin' ale.
Beer comes in many flavors from thick black stout's that taste like they're made of coffee grounds to very light fizzy things like hefe's and belgian white's. In fact, you might like a Blue Moon belgian style white - often served with a wedge of orange. Great hot weather beer.
Stella lacks hops (as do many belgians IMO) and I much prefer ESBs, IPAs and Pale Ales.
For instance, you might go off in search of a Fuller's London Pride - lovely ale with a great carmel finish.
Its definitely an acquired taste. (Which I seem to have acquired at about the age of 5 when dad first gave me a sip of his Strohs).
