Re: That stuff is nasty...
Sheesh, guys...the best beer from the Land o' Hosers, and all you guys can do is denigrate? Puh-LEEEEZE! ;-)
Hey...I like it; beats snot outta the likes of Guinness. Any beer you have to drink with a fork is to be avoided except in cases of extreme emergency!

Re: That stuff is nasty...
This says more about your taste in beer than it does about the taste of Moosehead...

Well, Mr. Native Boy...
...Tell me what is better (and I'll tell you if we can get it here).
And, no, Labatt's doesn't count!

Conors. Big Rock. Creemores. Unibroue.
Those are all breweries, not brands. Pretty much anything they sell beats the crap out of Moosehead.

Other fine Canadian brews
Kawartha Lakes Brewery (KLB) Raspberry Wheat Brick Honey Red Amsterdam Natural Blonde Amsterdam Dutch Amber Lager Cameron's Cream Ale Northern Red Maple Upper Canada Maple Brown Ale
Leave the last two in the fridge longer to produce a sweeter beer. I found that out by accident delving into the back of the fridge.
Trafalgar Raspberry Mead (not entirely a beer since it's made of honey but it's an early ancestor of beer)
Algonquin Honey Brown (off the market but Brick now owns it, a come back?!) Since my favourite Honey Brown became toast I've tried many a replacement and found Rickard's Honey Brown to be the closet to taste.
And for gawd's sake, despite what they may claim, Sleeman does not make any premium beers! *bleah*

No kidding
Upper Canadien is far superior. Hell, Labatts is pisswater and it's better than Moosehead.

Just so you know
it's Upper Canadian; Upper Canada was what's now Ontario, and is English. You might make a case for Lower Canadièn (that being what's now Québec), but that would be Canadièn de plus bâs.
Forgot that one in my earlier response; it's MUCH smaller than the other breweries I mentioned, and is in fact sometimes difficult to get even here.

Got it. Won't make that mistake again.
And I thought it was one of the best beers I had in my many visits up North.

You're on.
I was half way planning a fishing trip for the spring. I'll have to get more serious about it now.
