New Get a cheap Canon with "Think-tank"
with a large black cartridge and individual C/M/Y color cartridges. IIRC the black cartridges are about $20 and the colors are about $12 each. They should be easy to refill. And, if the print head gets messed up, you can buy a new print head (separate black and color print heads), unlike Epson.

Other companies are following suit; IIRC newer Xeroxes are similar and some big HP's have individual colors.

New I have a BJC-6000, too.
Chosen mostly because of the separate colours. The next model up was higher resolution, but the CMY was one tank :-/. Ironically, if I'd waited a month I could have bought a newer higher end model with the higher resolution and separate ink tanks...

And just for reference, the heads are supposed to be changed after every third ink tank. They don't last indefinitely.
