The tech came in when I was having line trouble...looked at my old USR and laughed...went straight to the truck and got a new one. Post #235,535 by folkert 11/22/05 1:04:58 PM Reply	Actually, 6Mb is only for real "web traffic" not going to Giganews. Comcast and giganews (as I understand it) have multiple Gig-E fibers tween them. I also am getting better than 10Mb speeds with my newsgroups downloading. My fastest speed so far grabbing newsgroups stuff from Giganews is 1475 Kilo Bytes (not bits) per second, sustained. That is right 1,475KB/sec. Running seven sessions to Giganews grabbing articles. Let me see... that is right up there ~ 16Megabits/second (including encoding alogs). Which I thought was the maximum DOCSIS could do on the service lines. Cool.
