New What it does show is that the world is wasting its time
with the Palestinians when real atrocities, tragedies, and ethnic cleansing is going on right under their noses as opposed to fantasies made up by the Palestinians. What is happening in other places in the world is hundreds of times worse then even what the Palestinians are claiming and yet the world is silent.

New Chabrila was a real atrocity.
The truth is that these horrendous events are "real" atrocities, whether committed in the Sudan, Israel, Jordan, Iraq or Guantanamo Bay, by Israelis, Americans, Palestinians, or Arabs.

Stop playing the "But they're doing it toooooooo" game. We know. That doesn't absolve ANYONE of responsibility for THEIR actions.

New I assume you mean Sabra and Shatilla
Of course that massacre was perpetrated by Arabs on Arabs with the Jews getting the blame for not forseeing that such a thing would happen and stopping it.

In any case you missed my point. There is only a certain amount of resources/attention whatever you want to call it that the world has. Instead of wasting it on the Palestinians why doesn't the world do something about much greater evils that are occurring? As bad as anyone thinks the plight of the Palestinians is, the plight of the Rwandans, Sudanese, etc. is much worse. Yet for some reason the world has an obsession with Israel and the Palestinians. This obsession prevents the world from dealing with much more serious issues. What did teh world do when millions of Rwandans were being slaughtered? Nothing.

New You're still evading.
If the subject at hand is Israel and the Palestinians - and in this discussion, it is - then attempts to get people to drop the subject because "worse" things happen elsewhere, then - well. You get the picture.

I think that one of the reasons that so much attention gets focussed on Israel's treatment of The Palestinian Problem is that Israel, unlike Rwanda, Sudan, Ethiopia, Myanmar and so on, purports to be a civilised first-world nation.

The UK's policies in NI have never been perfect, for example, but they never included bulldozing people's homes or entering refugee camps in tanks, or even assassinating IRA leaders with helicopter gunships.

Do you now see my point of view?

New no they assinated them with rifles and their RUC proxies
and if you have ever visited derry you would call it a refugee camp in the 70's. The only difference is that in the 70's you couldnt imagine prods sitting at the table with catholics, it did happen, it took time and things are not perfect but a lot better than they were. So it goes to show that a fragile peace can be made but it takes more than one side.

New I understand.
Don't look here while we implement the "final solution" for the Palestinians.
Alex

There are 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't.
New The final solution?
Considering that you believe that the Jews control the world why is it taking so long for the final solution. The Nazis killed 6 million Jews in 5 years. Why hasn't Israel exterminated 3 million Palestionians in 37 years? Those Israelis are really inefficient. In fact, why has the Palestinian population been growing by leaps and bouds if Israel is applying the 'final solution'?
New Because the modern world can see and is watching.
So the tactic now is to kill Palestinians when rationalization for doing so is at all possible and otherwise make their lives so utterly miserable that they will leave their homeland.
Alex

New But I thought the Jews controlled US policy?
New The US is not the whole world.
And not everyone in the US is blind either.

New While no one watches Sudan ...
Rwanda, etc. where millions of people can be killed without the world batting an eye.

New I've said it before.
The reason the world focuses on Israel is that we have hope that Israel can turn itself around in a reasonable timeframe.
Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.
New It is counterproductive for a number of reasons
Firstly, it means that other much more important problems are ignored (like the Sudan), secondly it creates a siege mentality in Israel where the feelling is that the world is against us.
New the whole world IS against you,
