Nearly anything:

Pasta.

One of my Favorite Quickies for the Fam:

1# box of PASTA noodles
1 Standard Pasta Sauce Jar (the one about 4" in diameter about 8" tall)
1# Favorite (fake or real) cheese (I like a Moz/jack combo)
1 9x13 rectangle Baking Dish, Metal == better
Foil to cover (don't use a proper lid it seals to well)

Heat your oven to 350F
Pour Pasta, Sauce and 1 Jar of Water (re-fill the Pasta Jar) in the Baking dish. Mix it up. Cover with foil, making sure to seal it "okay" but not perfect, mainly to eliminate direct heat.

Bake 30 minutes, take out of oven, mixing in 2/3 the cheese into the pasta, 1/3 on top.Return uncovered to the oven for long enough to integrate and melt/brown the cheese (Don;t have to brown it if you don't wanna).

Remove from Oven. Enjoy.

I warn you, Don't think I am joking, Excellent Taste and nearly perfect oven baked goodness from a Pasta Dish. Tendency is to grab the WHOLE BLOOMING DISH, a Towel and sit in the living room watching TV... umm and enjoying the WHOLE DAM THING!!!! (Regret... NO, feeling like a Balloon, Yes!)

Post #147,773 by folkert 3/23/04 10:06:11 AM Reply	All it needs. And you'll be quite surprised as the pasta soaks up the Pasta Sauce Goodness. Never had anything like it, I have always had what you are describing. The description doesn't do it justice. I used to put in an extra cupe of water, but found that it always was to runny. The pasta comes out perfect. Total cook time ~40 Minutes though... after the cheese is added. I have tried is with the cheese in the whole time... and it basically turns into a big slab of pasta-sauce-cheese-bar.
