I read the entire book of 900 quatrains. There *is* a reference to an attack on the "new city" and three others referring to it. Here's the attack quatrain:

Ennosigee feu de centre de terre,
Fera trembler au tour du cite neufue,
Deux grand rochiers long temps feront la guerre,
Puis Arethuse rougira nouveau fleuve.

Earthshaking fire from the center of the Earth
Will cause tremors around the new city.
Two great rocks will war for a long time,
Then Arethusa will redden a new river.
