New judged too soon?
from Dan Gillmor's current article - [link|http://www.siliconvalley.com/mld/siliconvalley/business/columnists/dan_gillmor/5231630.htm|FCC ruling is a blow to the competitive marketplace]
In his rare, fierce dissent from a pivotal telecommunications ruling Thursday, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Michael Powell wrote, ``What is remarkable about today's decision is that one looks in vain to find a clear or coherent federal policy in the choices made by the majority.'

New Would be a relief.

We have only 2 things to worry about: That
things will never get back to normal, and that they already have.
New I think you misunderstood
according tot he Chicago Tribune's story on the topic, Powell's "fierce opposition" was to the rest of the ruling, in which the Big 4 pigopoly was not allowed to rape the long distance companies for using hteir lines to provide service. Powell actually likes these two provisions.

Arkadiy is right...he is an asshole. And imric's also right in that this is the wave of the future (i.e. fucking the consumer in favor of monopoly power) unless and until we remove the "head selected bastards" from office ASAP!
