Why hasn't the Christian community in the US discussed this? It's pretty much right down there with the seeming inability of the Muslim religious leadership to condemn Sudan for its strictly racist war against black muslims in Darfur... .
That is actually closer to it than you might realize. Note that Bush still has a quantity of support from the Christian community. Why is this, in the light of your analysis? Because they don't reach the same conclusions you do. It's not necessarily that they are supporting him in spite of what has happened, it's because they see the events differently.
