twixt the Terrierists having Won.. as regards successfully rendering 'air transport' a continuous soul-deadening ordeal -- and the fact that US rail transport is quite pricier (though a vastly more serene experience) -- short of some cleverly rationalized emergency, I'm pretty well stuck near the Left coast for a while.

Still, given the Cosmic crap-shoot and current turbo-charged migration of most of the US cash --> zooming into fewer profligate pockets, there may come an offer I won't refuse, should I wish to trade 'location' for mobility.

Hope you get aimed towards some of the local environs worth taking in. Not far from all that commercial dross, strip-malls and cold office towers - often seen enroute to/from airports -- are some gorgeous sites/sights which have resisted the National commitment to cheap-production-efficiency.

No doubt the troops will suggest several oases within a reasonable radius.
Sorry I'll miss seeing your smuggled-in baby wallaby, too! :-/
