New HUH???
From the story I posted:

their motor vehicle records

Please explain to me how motor vehicle records are in any way, shape and form "stored by the airline and other parties to the transaction." Which "other parties"? And what specifically about my motor vehicle record is noteworthy for determining my "score"?

"Chicago to my mind was the only place to be. ... I above all liked the city because it was filled with people all a-bustle, and the clatter of hooves and carriages, and with delivery wagons and drays and peddlers and the boom and clank of freight trains. And when those black clouds came sailing in from the west, pouring thunderstorms upon us so that you couldn't hear the cries or curses of humankind, I liked that best of all. Chicago could stand up to the worst God had to offer. I understood why it was built--a place for trade, of course, with railroads and ships and so on, but mostly to give all of us a magnitude of defiance that is not provided by one house on the plains. And the plains is where those storms come from." -- E.L. Doctorow

New What do you use as ID at the airport?
And if not available, passport information is readily available and shared.

Reverse phone lookup is possible with the data in hand.

Expecting that these sources of information will remain separated..even by the "private sector" is just plain silly. Already your credit score is available to damn near anyone that asks...

And your MVS record (DMV, whatever) shows time in state, what state (and that does matter..as it is dead simple to get a license in virginia...and alot harder in NJ for example)...so that answers your question about how that applies to your "score".

New when I show the ticket counter agent my driver's license
what data from it do they record and store?

Are they not merely accepting a government issued identification as confirmation that I am who I say I am, and thus am the correct person to receive the purchased boarding pass?

I still don't see where my personal driving history has any relevance on my flying "terrorist profile score".

New Issuing state and expiration
Part of the profiling. You walk into Philly with a VA issued license and your score goes up a notch. Depending on some other factors, that may single you into a "supplemental screen" in security.

Either the computer does it..or the agent at the head of the line does it.

Trust me, your history of speeding is not what its being used for.
