It's supposed to be like this (prime clam bake weather) but the weather nitwits (hey, it's a government job) can't tell what kind of weather they have at the moment. Looking out the window would be a breach of faith; they might get something right. Fingers crossed, we've been lucky 10 times out of the last 12. and the other 2 were not terrible. Good friends, good food, good drink, and a hot bon fire is hard to beat in any kind of weather.

My wife and I are both off today to cook and prepare the cabin (on the Penn border, the regulars rent state cabins for the weekend.) People will start showing up around noon and I plan to start serving around 4 in the afternoon. The party generally folds up around 2 or 3 am. Cleanup sunday is over by noon at the latest normally. This is our once a year big party. Fun, but a lot or work.

It didn't occur to me to invite the web contingent. It's a bit late this year, but next year, it will be the second saturday in october if you're interested. Anybody else feel like it? The more, the merrier!

Post #270,296 by hnick 10/14/06 7:43:15 AM Reply	Pymatuning. One side of the lake is OH, the other PA. Closest town is Andover. It's a straight shot out Rt 6. There is a state park that straddles the allotment where we have our cabin.
