Thanks all!
I spent a relaxing day packing, driving, and enduring a migraine. ;-)
Monday was good, though. Duncan and Aidan got to drive my dad's tractor around, and then we did some shooting on the rifle range.
Duncan's team did well at his Odyssey of the Mind state competition on Saturday (4th out of 12 - they missed 3rd place by a few 10ths of a point) and great fun was had by all the kids in the pool afterwards.
On another note, I have mentioned to a few of you that Duncan took the SATs this year for the Midwest Talent Search, basically as a means for qualifying for some advanced classes offered by the universities around here. Today we received his statistical scores, and while we knew he had done well, we had no idea that he got the high score in his age group for the verbal portion! I was floored. He was also in the 99.2 percentile for his overall score. Reading does pay off. :-)
He's going to a Michigan award ceremony in May, and the overall award ceremony in Chicago in June. His main issue: he has to wear a tie to the ceremony. ;-)
At any rate, brag mode off, and thanks again to everyone!
Regards,
-scott anderson
