Welcome to IWETHEY!

New At least a part of that is government inspired.
For self-serving purposes, Syria in particular has riled up people locally as well as in Lebanon. Foreign embassies are set on fire with implicit government permission.

The other thing to remember is that Muslims feel like they have been under attack for a while and especially since 9/11. So there as a lot of ill will ready for ignition and it would be wrong to blame the cartoons for all the violence. The cartoons were the match that set off the abundant kindling.
Alex

When fascism comes to America, it'll be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross. -- Sinclair Lewis
New But they will collect the kindling, so to speak.
And stack it all together just waiting for an outside spark. Which is crazy. If you don't want to go up in flames like that, then you don't set up the conditions for it to happen!

So where are the Muslim leaders saying to their followers "Why are you getting to upset? It only validates the criticism you're objecting to!"?

Wade.
"Insert crowbar. Apply force."
New quite a few around the globe
politely telling the fuckwits that demanding death by beheadings for all and sundry doesnt do much except feed the perception that muslims are intolerant and vicoious brutes.
