It's been a good machine. You can economize some on the case, slower processor, the DVD-RW, video card, etc. I'll let you run through the prices. It might be difficult to get it below $800 though. But something in that ballpark should yield a very nice machine that won't need to be upgraded for a while.

But it's probably cheaper and less aggravating to get a prebuilt machine. It'll also come with Winders, saving that expense. I've had good luck with refurbished Compaq machines. Note that it uses shared video memory with the system.
