I seem to recall...

...That there have been instances where perfectly valid HTML and/or CSS code has crashed browsers before. Is this the fault of the web page developer? The browser maker? The W3C?

I can't point to a specific instance, and I'm sure I'll be notified of just exactly how wrong I am should that turn out to be the case. Just something I think I think.
