I'm not sure what those certificates have to do with job or career counselling. I agree that a "certified Mensa I.Q." isn't something a professional would generally cite.

$39.95 for a 30 minute on-line test?

It's rather devious of them to call it a VAT - it makes it difficult to do a Google search on them. :-/

A red flag for me is:

You'll be amazed at how accurately the VAT can profile your unique gifts and traits.

"Scientifically accurate"? They give no numbers. They give no sample questions (that I've seen).

They're promising too much without giving any evidence that it meets their claims.

I very much doubt that it would be worth the money. I'd guess it's just a Myers-Briggs type multiple-choice quiz with some questions like [link|http://www.princetonreview.com/cte/quiz/career_quiz1.asp|this] career quiz.
