Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Sorry
I've only used it under Linux, and so had no idea that it could cause problems. (Were it not for Peter's comment, I wouldn't know that that's what you're complaining about.)

It is devoted to displaying newsworthy items that might not otherwise get distributed because people find them offensive. I noticed it because a co-worker found a video of the beheading in Iraq there.

My impressing is that this is typical. Other featured items right now include:

  • Attempted Killing in Trainstation
  • Bomb Victim
  • Various Suicides
  • Burnt Iraqi Person
  • ...

Judging from items like Iraqi killed by SAW to back of his neck, I'd say that some of the footage that the US government doesn't want to get out is leaking to that site.

Certainly if they do release it, that site will be one of the places to go for the material.

Cheers,
Ben

New I have 1 PC with IE

I use it at my on risk because it is what is used at work. It picked up pop-ups.

Must confess I didn't find links to the items you mentioned. I just got flooded with pop-ups inviting me to see girls entertaining horses & dogs.
I had to shutdown my computer to get out of it. Yuk :-)

(Had I known I would have used firefox 8-)

Cheers Doug
New My apologies again
If you just want to see the beheading (albeit in poor video), go to [link|http://209.0.144.17/ogrish-dot-com-american-nick-berg-beheaded-in-iraq.wmv|http://209.0.144.17/...eaded-in-iraq.wmv]. If you want to see an Iraqi killed by a saw, go to [link|http://www.ogrish.com/view_attachment.php?id=19061|http://www.ogrish.co...ment.php?id=19061]. And so on until you've been sickened enough. (Girls entertaining horses and dogs might well be more wholesome entertainment...)

Regards,
Ben

New You CAN lock down IE.
Mainly, turn off all activeX and Java autorun 'features'. A few other settings can help. Find 'em.
