Nah, Dallas isn't far, El Paso is(750 miles).
I guess the biggest(pun intended) difference is that Houston's the 4th largest US city w/2.0 million vs. Dallas in 8th with 1.2 million.
The stereotype of Texas might be "Dallas", but the reality isn't. Well, then again, I was once behind 4 horses in a drive thru at Jack In The Box (thinking "nice horseys, please don't crap" the whole time) :-)
