Stepping out now that the world has been made even more profitable for Halliburton would be a "good lick" for Cheney. He could go back to his old private sector position of bilking tax-payers instead of being on the dole directly.

Just heard an NPR report this morning about some in congress (both sides of the aisle) squawking about "splitting the 21 billion" for reconstruction efforts in Iraq out of the 87 Billion supplemental, and considering that separately (as opposed to the balance which is obstensively going directly to US Troop support). This separation, it was reported, is vehemently objected to by the White House. One wonders how much of that 21 Billion is going to Dicky boy's friends at Halliburton.
