Norman, you know *I* am running a HOSTING service aimed at people with high expertise. Therefore I am very flexible.

There are very few (if any that would apply to Todd) restrictions.

And let the person answer for themselves.

New Restrictions
of course I was only guessing what restrictions may be. I understand that you do offer extensive hosting services, more things than other hosting companies. If I had the money, I'd be tempted to buy your hosting services. I have a domain name, etc.

But yes, let Todd answer what he wants to run. Only he can answer what kind of things he doesn't want restricted. Again I am only guessing here.

but basically I want to have anonymous ftp, apache with ssl available, put up some little app servers on various ports, and run postgres.

Probably do some virtual hosting of a few different domain names. Run an IMAP server and maybe mail list software...

Pretty basic. Things will come to me as I get things organized.

All I want from the hosting service is DNS for my domain names and the operator to do backups (and possibly a restore/reinstall if I screw up). Otherwise, hands off.
