Welcome to IWETHEY!

New So today, for the second time, I heard...
... the heartbeat of a new baby in utero.

The blessed event will be sometime in late October.

FAQ:

1) No.
2) No.
3) No.
4) No.
5) Yes.
6) Yes.

BTW, fear the wait times at obstetrics offices. I blew 5 hours today taking my wife to her appointment.
Regards,

-scott anderson

Your lies are of Microsoftian Scale and boring to boot. New The new (and last) one gets the most attention (?)
New It is a mite unusual these days...
...but it isn't as bad as it sounds. Most of those are half siblings.

But family reunions get complex. ;-)

New The first one is the prototype
by the next child or so, the parents finally get it right in raising up a child.

I have a four year old son, only child, and it has been quite an experience raising him. Anyone got any pointers? We thought he'd outgrow things after the terrible threes, but he still has some behavior issues.

New You don't make the same mistakes...
...with the second, third, nth child - you manage to make all new mistakes. :-)

YMMV, but a common tale is that the first child will take after the father, the second after the mother, and the third will be affected most by the relationship between father and mother (don't know how it plays out after that). No scientific basis for this conclusion - the anectdotal evidence with our kids leads me to think it might have some truth.

So based on that superstition, I'd say admin is in for a child that takes after the mother. Congratulations. :-)
New Re: Data point
I am also the eldest in my family, of three sons. I have two younger brothers.

With someone else I would offer congratulations, but all things considered I suspect that you are more in need of luck... :-P

Hey, synchronicity - I just tried to explain music in terms of powers of integers to a lifelong musician - I had to calculate everything by longhand - ugh!

Anyway the key issue is the equation 2^n = (3/2)^m. And they you say

1) No.
2) No.
3) No.
4) No.
5) Yes.
6) Yes.

See? It's 3/2. This is a perfect example of synchronicity.

Anyway hope she's healthy and artistic.
