New Save FarScape
[link|http://www.savefarscape.com/|http://www.savefarscape.com/]

It is one of the best Sci Fi shows I have seen in a long time. The Sci Fi channel is cancling it after the fourth season is over. Two more episodes to go before the show is off the air and ends the fourth season.

For more info:

The BBC gets its episodes before the Sci Fi Channel does, apparently. So reading the BBC site will reveal some spoilers.

I expect that FarScape will go into syndication after it gets canceled like "The Invisible Man" did when Sci Fi dropped their show.

New LOL, you got the quote!
I almost fell out of my chair when I heard that line. My wife and I were laughing our asses off.

What can one say, SF can go straight to Hell. Most of their crap isn't even sci-fi anymore. And while they claim Farscape is too expensive, they plan to redo Battlestar Gallactica which was canned for its high costs!

Once farscape goes into reruns, I'll have to try and tape all of the episodes. Then, I can remove scifi from my dish's channel menu. There's no point in watching the crap they're shovelling these days.

New SciFi
They should change their name, as it isn't always SciFi, but horror stuff too and other things not worthy of the name SciFi.

They did remake Dune and then the Children of Dune series, but I'm not watching them. I never got into Dune that much.

Lexx was another show I liked, but they quit on that too soon.

Black Scorpion, a bad miniseries based on a bad movie. They tried to copy the 1960's Batman series a little bit too closely, but this time they had a woman in tights. They even recycled the actor who played The Riddler into the Black Scorpion show as a new villian.

Battlestar Galactica, I am looking forward to the remake. I heard that they were making a new Battlestar movie, but I never got the details.

Tremors the series is coming out, yawn, I didn't like the movies that much. Neat idea for a monster, some sort of mutated worm that turns into reptile-like creature.

IMO, Lexx is a perfect example of how inept SF's marketing and advertising are. I totally avoided Lexx because of its idiotic commercials. Its commercials give the impression that Lexx is nothing but cheesy, psuedo porn in space. If I wanted that level of crap I'd subcribe to skinimax.

That's not what Lexx is, but you wouldn't know it from the commercials. I think SF's few successful shows, like Farscape, have been successful in spite of SF's inept handling, not because of any intelligence on SF's part. SG1 was a success long before SF touched it and Dune has such a cult following you'd have to totally botch the story and acting for these Dune mini-series to not have at least moderate success. I didn't watch Farscape at first either because the advertising was so poorly done. I started watching about 6 episodes in when my father told me it was actually a desent show.

GAH, I'd forgotten all about the POS show Black Scorpion. Help me, I'm having flashbacks to the one time I watched it! AAAHHHH!

It'll be amusing to see if SF can make a BG abomination as bad as BG1980. With SF so focused on "expanding its core audience" and not wanting intrecate story lines like farscape, I have no faith in SF's ability to make a real Sci Fi show.

Tremors the series is coming out, yawn, I didn't like the movies that much. Neat idea for a monster, some sort of mutated worm that turns into reptile-like creature.

And what is tremors doing on a supposed SciFi channel? It belongs on the Grade B Cheesy Horror channel (here after known as GBCH). And the sequals don't even qualify for grade C. (Yes, it's imbarrasing to admit, but I've seen both tremors 1 and 2 on TV. No, I'll never do it again.)

Since SF has sunk this low, does that mean they're working on an Ice Planet series? Or since they show so much Fantasy now, maybe Legend, the mini-series? At least Legend had a kick ass looking Devil.

New Tremors
The first movie was good, and I'd say fell solidly into the "cheesy bugs from outer space in Nevada" genre of SF. It was a lot of fun. However, the sequels generally blew major chunks.

Yeah but... I've had the hots for Joan Pleasance ever since she played Kevin Spacey's wife in the show "Wiseguy". She was a babe then, she's a babe now, and the outfit proves it. Besides, she did a pictorial in Playboy several years ago, and time IS agreeing with her.

Hubba Hubba!!!

New Last show was on for tonight of FarScape
I did not like the way it ended. I won't give it away for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. They did do a "To Be Continued" so I wonder if after the Sci Fi channel dumps it, if someone else will pick it up?

Basically after destroying that plant that the Scarrans use, like Popeye uses Spinach, John and crew get away. But before they blew up the plants, John made a comment about the plant tasting like one on Earth to the Emperor of the Scarrans. Which means that they sent a ship to the wormhole to Earth to take over the planet and get that plant. The only way John sees to stop them is to close the wormhole. That is all I got to say about this episode, other than I didn't like the ending.

According to this news feed:

The Jim Henson company wants to make a movie based on FarScape, yeah! The creators of Kermit, are going to do a FarScape movie. I am not sure how after this series finale ended, but maybe they can do with with the surviving characters?

New Jim Henson Co made Farscape
They're not just coming in to rescue it. The show is their flagship.

That said, my TV almost went out the window because of that ending :-(
But then I figured it still has some use for the PlayStation, so it got a reprieve... ;-)
New Re: Jim Henson Co made Farscape
They said that there would at least be one movie made based on it. I hope they do something about the ending in "Bad Timing". Maybe they can put the meat marbles back together?
