But you probably don't want to go that way if there's an alternative. But if you've got a certain mount in the ceiling and don't want to change it, you may have no other choice.
Beware that a lot of imported stuff is metric, so make sure you get the right sizes.
The manuals for your mounts and speakers should tell you what the thread sizes are, if you can find the model numbers, etc.
