Got a synovial cyst removed from my spinal cord in 2011 and my legs work again. I'm doing contract work because, while my wife and I were frugal and put all our discretionary funds in 401Ks, the bankers robbed us blind. It's ok; they had the votes. No harm, no foul except that I have to work until I die or else my dogs starve. Still, contract work can be fun. The gig I'm at now is the first place in a couple decades where I need an oscilloscope and schematics to debug software. I rather enjoy that. It will be going away in a few months, but it's fun for the moment. Enjoy today! Tomorrow will probably be worse, so today's the best you got!
