Groovy, I guess.
I just want to read my ebooks and browse the web, perhaps play a few games, in a hotel room and at dinner (because I'm on my own 99% of the time I'm travelling) on a compact device with a decent-sized, high-quality screen and excellent battery life, but which does not have the bulk of a laptop or the small display of a phone.
Your use case is different to mine. That's cool. Lots of people like Android. I think it looks and feels like something I made, which is not (in my opinion, not necessarily yours) a good thing.
I'm not really getting why you're telling me all this, though.

Because you went...
Woo for you, I suppose.
Like you have *no friggin' idea* what the hen I mean.
The iWhat-evers Apple makes, are IMO pretty shiny things that do limited stuffs and I'm all about my own shiite working. It does work for me, you keep acting like its *MY* problem. I keep telling you its NOT my problem.
"Meh... its a tablet" is your problem... ok?
I don't give one rats ass about Apple Shiny... except what its going to cost me for my Family... its a COST without benefit to me... and I still have to support it and yes there is always Familial support. I don't like OSX particularly well, nor do even appreciate iOS at all. I'd rather support Linux... but we all know where that goes with Family.

How very strange.
I'm talking about my iPad, not yours.
And no, I'm not acting like it's your problem, because my iPad isn't your problem. In fact, none of this thread is about your problems. Hell, it's not about anyone's problems.
The thing I don't get is what you expect me to do with the information in your post. You see, I started this thread as a vehicle for me to chat about my new iPad. Not for advocacy, just for "woo, I've got new shiny!", and the "you can do this cool thing with it" and "don't forget that it's ass if you don't do this or if you do that" - you know, the usual things people like to talk about when they've got new shiny.
So you don't like Apple products. I don't think anyone here is unaware of that fact. So I'm really not sure what you expect the response to be. It seems that you wanted to tell me that you don't like Apple products (which is fine; I'm not forcing you to buy Apple products, and you're not forcing me to buy Android products). It's the motivation for you wanting to tell me that which confuses me.
You're not going to change my mind, you're not providing me with any new information, you're not asking me a question, and there's not much I can say in response other than variations on a theme of "uh, ok".
Throw me a bone here, Greg.

Just ignore me.
because even if you *say* you are not doing advocacy, you are doing advocacy here.
I'm telling you my dislike of all things Apple Shiny, since I don't see a need or use for them, personally, even if my Android falls to shiite.
Limited use items period... annoy the crap out of me. My Android is not a limited use item for me, it does all nearly all the thing I do on my laptop, except things impossible to do on a small form factor display, keyboard and mousey like thinger. I could fix that, since I can get a nearly full size keyboard and display 1080p and attache a real mouse.
Sure I can see how you don't see you "Oh lookey, new shiny" isn't advocacy... but can you see how it actually *is*?
Plus, the most important reason, my Johnson is bigger than yours.

I don't like pineapple
And I don't see the point of Belgian beer.
I'm not crazy about the colour yellow, either.

Now at least you *get* it.

Re: Good enough...
No, I really don't. I just thought I'd list some irrelevant things I don't like, much like you did.

Exactly.

Exactly what?
But by all means, do tell me more about these devices of yours which are of no interest or relevance to me or this thread.
And then do proceed to tell me about how me talking about my iPad makes a hitherto undefined and unidentified something into your 'problem', just in case I wasn't confused enough.
And then, when you get called on this stream-of-consciousness stuff, accuse me of indulging in advocacy, just by the very act of talking about something.
Or, alternatively, just ignore me and the threads I start.
