One airline to watch
and not to fly [link|http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20590374/|http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20590374/] Officials at Nepal's state-run airline have sacrificed two goats to appease Akash Bhairab, the Hindu sky god, following technical problems with one of its Boeing 757 aircraft, the carrier said Tuesday. Yep. That'll work.

So *that's* what we've been doing wrong
here in the states!
You reckon if we sacrifice clocks, our flights will start being on time?

Beats tossing virgins into a volcano! :)

Sure does, plenty of goats - virgins are scarce -
and gods prefer more experienced women anyway.

Hey, c'mon, if it works for your SCSI chain, then why
wouldn't it work for airliners?

When I was doing the airline stuff
I got my ass chewed for inadvertently allowing an aircraft to take off without notifying anyone that the mechanic who last touched the plane was intoxicated.
My boss sat up for hours waiting for that plane to land safely.
If I had known about the goat-sacrificing thing, I would've tried that!

In that situation...
sacrificing the mechanic would have been perfectly acceptable.

Probably cheaper, too.
