New I agree with you entirely
It is the new ADHD. Normally not diagnosed until late teens and early adulthood, I see more and more kids with this dx. You're right in that it is difficult to diagnose, and there are several subtypes.

IMO, I think clinicians are sometimes confusing this disorder with acting out behavior caused by good old-fashioned poor parenting, poor schooling, and an overprotective, overindulgent society. Kids react and respond to their environment.
Garbage in, garbage out. I'm not saying every kid is misdiagnosed, but I believe many are, and it's a cop out. We need to take a look at what is really going on with these kids.

New 'As above / so below'
Another of those cute sayings, but ...

With the daily-quoted 'Top' of this culture proving to be as psych-disordered as we see (and as any bright 10 yo could see, too) - it would be odd if school kids did Not pattern their behavior after that sort which, apparently: gets millions of 'adults' to Vote In such Sick People.

Sheesh.. growing up is always confusing, but for last 6 years: the loudest examples around are all brain-warped, and they get ... applause [?!?]

Y'know?

New Difference between ADHD and ADD??
People are telling me that the preacher I'm dealing with has ADD, and they say it like I should completely understand his behavior because of it. But I thought ADD was Attention Deficency Disorder (maybe not spelled right), and that's not the same as ADHD is it? Or is it another form of it?

New Two different diagnoses
ADHD has hyperactivity along with the inability to focus. They are treated with different meds.

New Unmedicated behavior differs
ADD - quietly sitting behind the desk, daydreaming.
ADHD - running around, jumping people and things.

(I am extremely familiar with the ADD side of it)
