How to test it?
Do they compile what they're given and see if it is the same as what they can buy?

General idea
Do they compile what they're given and see if it is the same as what they can buy?
That would be the general idea, but there are complications that would have to be worked around.
Things like build number and build date that are compiled in automatically by the build scripts.
Still, it shouldn't be to hard unless MS has done something to obscure the situation.
