With that and the higher optical zoom, I'd pick the Canon too, especially if the Fuji has problems outdoor. I'm weighing that one heavier as most people would use the flash in low light conditions with this kind of camera anyway.

My wife and I have had a Canon S20, 3.3 Mpix, 2.0 zoom, for many (>5) years and have been happy with it.
