I'm back
temporarily for now. I am here to try and patch things up, try and make friends, and learn new things. Besides you all could not stop talking about me, or following me around the Internet anyway. I figured that maybe I should just come back and check in and see how things are doing. I've improved over the past two years and I graduated with honors with a bachelors of science in business management. One goal down, more to go.

Interesting
Take this as good natured advice. You haven't changed much...starting out by accusing members of the board of stalking you across the net. Not much of a way to make friends and patch things up.
Congratulations on the degree...not a simple task. Job well done.

Well at least I am trying to improve. That has to account for something.
I did earn the degree, but I still have a lot to learn.

Interesting II
As Beep said, an odd start.
Also, your signature is seriously confrontational.
As far as unable to stop talking about you, sure there is an occasional mention. When new people showed up, we had to make sure it wasn't you in disguise, which led to the inevitable explanation.
On the other hand, the concept of being followed around the internet is an interesting one. Does that mean you'd post a talkback somewhere and then you'd recongnize a following post? Very odd.
Congrats on the degree.

Re: Interesting II
I admit the evidence is not very much. But Wiki pages I wrote got blanked, a forum I run got multiple users added to them, I got comments modded down for no reason, and some of the IPs seem to be from various members here. Plus I seem to get attacked for no reason on forums I get on, and I hadn't been on them before. Plus comments got added to my blog that leads back to here, and I got so upset over them that I deleted them. One forum I was on I was attacked a lot, and the admins had to start all over with the user accounts, they used the same arugments as here in the flame forum.
I am willing to forgive, if indeed there are members here who have it in for me. I want this sort of thing to stop.

Thanks, I am trying not to feed my paranoia. Yet when I get compared to a supossid dead-beat dad it is crossing the line and feeding my paranoia. I am trying to learn how not to get the way I did in the past and to confront my past and try to improve for my future.

Ok I did not read that far, but why was I compared to him? What I did and what he is accused of doing are not the same things.
Maybe I am imaginaing things, like Wiki pages being blanked and a link back to here to some of my old posts added in place of the content. I admit I did not write all of the Wiki, but I did contribute to it. Anyone know anything about those sort of things?

Re: Moved to flame forum
I am trying to avoid the flame forum.
Here is the problem, I go away, I am gone for two years, and some people have not moved on and still accuse me of things here. I go away to other places on the Internet and links on vandalized wiki pages have URLs that point back to posts I made here long ago. What did people expect me to do? Yet I see that I still have some friends here, and that is a good enough reason to come back here. Not everyone here is against me, maybe only a select few are if any really are.
Yet how can I change when the past is kept being brought up towards me? I am not denying anything I did, and I am trying to improve. I am saying it makes it difficult to try and change, and I sort of see it as harassment and attacks. I tried ignoring it, but that didn't work. If people really wanted me gone, they would have stopped talking about it and moved on.

imho there's not a lot for you to gain here.
I don't know who vandalised your pages at other locations, but I doubt it was anyone here. Finding your posts here would take moments in Google; it could have been anyone on the Internet.
I moved on a long time ago, and I suspect that most people here have as well. It might be a good idea if you did the same.
As someone's already said, bridges have been burnt and he doesn't feel you're welcome here. I suspect that there are others here who feel the same, probably many others.
I'd suggest that you just drop it, move on, and not come back.

Leaving worked just fine
Honest, Norm. Within days of your departure the number of cutting remarks about orion fell off steeply. As others have noted, you were alluded to at ever-longer intervals following that final post in September of ought-four (a disappearance immediately preceded, if memory serves, by a last couple of instances of sock puppetry under a new nom de wank), and have figured in our discussions very seldom and then only fleetingly for scores of weeks past. I can't speak for the rest of the group, but by this long, hot summer my own memories of your participation here had faded and mellowed to a vague sense of gratitude that wherever you were, at liberty or confined, sleeping on a sofa or in a nice comfortable bed of loam, you were at least not here, and for that effortless absence of yours you have never stood higher in my esteem.
You racked up an excellent record for 22 months and then threw it all away today. Still, it was a sound proof-of-concept: you can earn some goodwill. Leave now and stay away until March of 2010 and everyone will like you twice as much as we did until today.

No it didn't
I know I can contribute here without going back to multiple sock puppet accounts. It went so so for 22 months, but I was still mentioned and things brought me back here. Witness that I used the orion account and I did not create a new one and pretend to be someone else. Witness that I did contribute to a few threads on things not about myself. It is some progress, but it is not enough. I can do better in my contributions, I know it.

Stop it
Accept that you annoy the fuck out of some people. They don't like you. They will never like you. They will never accept you. They don't have to.
Accept that if you talk about yourself, "doing better", "joining in", etc, you are giving them the opportunity to vent.
Do not respond. Do not try to validate yourself.
If you find yourself posting, somewhere, on topic, and you have something to add, do it. No problem. As long as you don't refer to yourself, then any response that refers to your whacko history is not on topic, and you can maintain the moral highground by NOT RESPONDING.
Don't post personal stories about yourself. It'll just be an opening for people to rip you to shreds.
Keep it up for a month or so. Stay on topic, do not refer to yourself, contribute a bit. As I said in the past, you a smart guy. Fucking insane, but a smart guy.
If you can actually keep it up, maybe you'll earn enough trust to be accepted as someone to bullshit with, someone who's point of view might actually make sense, someone who can be invited in to share a bit of perosnal time with.
BUT DON'T BOTHER TRYING TO DO IT UNTIL YOU'VE PROVEN YOURSELF.

Re: Stop it
Good advice. I am not trying to force people to accept me, at one time before I actually did contribute to this group. I accept that not all accept me, but yet there are those who are kind. I am not perfect, but if I avoid those topics and take your advice, I think I can do better. Thanks.

In other words, I've forgiven many people in my life, but that doesn't mean I have to continue to let them be in my life, or be part of my life. There's a point where I choose to protect myself from those continued influences.

You're imagining it.
No one here is stalking you. At most there is the rare mention that people are glad you've managed to stay away, or the occasional suspicion that you've come back under yet another name.
As far as multiple new users showing up to attack you, Norm, that's exactly what YOU did HERE years ago. *You* made the new users and attacked *yourself*. If you think you're going to do that here again, please don't waste anyone's time. You'll just end up getting banned, and quickly. While I understand that this will just serve to feed your delusional paranoia, I don't really care. That's your problem, not mine.

So basically IPs like 64.53.181.95 and 12.47.70.7 don't belong to anyone and I am imagining it? I do know they are not my IPs, but they look like they had belonged to some people here. Nobody ever heard of Uncyclopedia, a humor wiki? And the admins had resorted the Wiki after it was vandalized. Nope, sorry I must be mistaken then. Apparently these Ips created anonymous users and there is log history of them. Any of them match records on your forum?

Re: And how long ago was this?
How long ago did I do the same thing here and I never hear the end of it. It establishes a pattern and there is evidence to back it up. Why must people here do the same things I did, and yet I have to take responsibility for my actions and behaviors and the rest of you don't?
I had my own forum attacked recently and I am cleaning it up and it is offline for now. There are other examples, but you aren't interested in hearing them. I just want it to stop is all. All I need do is prove at least one attack on me was not done by me on myself, and trace it back to users here. I did that. Which proves my point.

No, you are passing through.
Sorry, Norman - it can't work out. Period. Attention is something a one offers; irritation is forced-Attention.
You began here, ostensibly fleeing from the results of previous examples of Too-open Mouth. You brought along momentarily, a mix of your bogus-buddies. No one here will ever believe that you have learned to shut up when you have nothing to say.
You *alone* became the necessity for there being time-stamped Edits, on these forums.
It's good that you've gotten through some academics and perhaps some rehab. But it's a 'goodness' that I'm not interested in hearing about, pondering -- considering, at all. As mentioned, your bridges are burned. Incinerated.
I, for one, am utterly disinterested in conversation with the New, Old or Transitional 'you'. Those bridges were dynamited and covered in treacle, repeatedly. You are not 'owed therapy' here, nor can you induce guilt or other rationale for even a pretense of toleration. Maybe somewhere else.
Your best bet is to move on. Only in some space where your past is not immediately Googled (because of aberrant behavior, claims, accusations, self-referential balderdash?) can you expect to try out your newly reformed social skills.
Not here. And I am unanimous in that. You need a reason - still? Life. is. too. short.
Vaya con dios.
