(Wasn't Who Knew?? invented as the .zip equivalent of that?) FWIW and IME yada.. some formerly-marrieds become great friends, later on; their shared experience counts in uncountable ways. The visible reason for divorce was Neil's torrid affair with Eva, but who knows what else there may have been. mutual friend - "Have you heard about Nancy and Neil?" me - "Yes." friend - "Have you talked to either of them?" Me - "Yes, both, but not for a few days, they're on vacation up north." friend - "What do you mean they're on vacation? Together? They're getting a divorce!" me - "Yes, but they hold that the vacation was planned before the divorce so they're taking it." After the divorce Neil and Eva occasionally had Nancy over for dinner and sometimes they planned activities together. All in all the smoothest divorce I've seen or heard of.
