One to stay away from: Guinness "premium" in a bottle or can. Makes shoe leather taste good. When a brewer advertises "balance" for what they brew, typically the beer is good tasting, whatever it is. Of the few I mamanged to get a hold of last night, the only place that had what I considered "non-standard" beer was Ponzios, ie: a diner. Now, mind you, it's a decent diner. But it's still a diner. It's a fallback for me as far as food choices go. I'll keep trying.

Sam Adams or Bare Knuckle Stout or other good beers. You need to keep in mind when I was calling places I simply got a list of brews, and if I did not recognise it I then asked you. But maybe recognizable is OK,so you really do have to give me a list of good beers so when I make the calls I'll know.
