Ask some expats
Many will give you at least one story of having something "screened" being sent back and forth.
Comment is not that its "good" or "right"...comment more directed at the tone of article that makes one think this is "new", which its not.
Given the state of tech, if we can't determine that an airmail letter isn't dangerous without opening the damned thing...we've got alot more problems than having a love letter snooped.
