What punctuation mark are you?
[link|http://www.okcupid.com/tests/take?testid=9611125433033087547|http://www.okcupid.c...11125433033087547]
I am a semi-colon.
[blockquote] Congratulations! You are the semicolon! You are the highest expression of punctuation; no one has more of a right to be proud. In the hands of a master, you will purr, sneering at commas, dismissing periods as beneath your contempt. You separate and connect at the same time, and no one does it better. The novice will find you difficult to come to terms with, but you need no one. You are secure in your elegance, knowing that you, and only you, have the power to mark the skill or incompetence of the craftsman. You have no natural enemies; all fear you. And never, NEVER let anyone tell you that you cannot appear in dialogue! [/blockquote]

Exclamation mark
Yes, you are fine around others. Fine. But you wish you could have just a *little* more alone time. Okay, well, a lot more alone time. In fact, you'd be happier if you didn't have to go out nearly as much. You get along very well with the period, who tries mightily to take up as much of the load as he can. But fools will not listen. You want to scream, "Cut it out, for the love of Safire!" But, all of that notwithstanding, you do your duty. And, if sometimes you feel like a Chicago street hooker, you also remember that you really do have an important role to play. Your soul remains pure. Hold your head high!
At the same time that it said I was more social than 86% of others my age and gender, and more sophisticated than 12%.
How that's a description of a social person I do not know. I'd also measure sophistication differently...

Parenthesis
You enclose and envelope life, as well as things that aren't vital to the main topic. You are something of a loner and take pleasure in the simple things in life. You are uncomplicated for the most part, and don't need anyone (though you are strangely attracted to LISP programmers). The apostrophe is your natural enemy. You like periods (and commas), but tend to keep them somewhat outside.

ellipsis You scored 46% Sociability and 64% Sophistication!
our life can be difficult because of your insecurities, but you should know that it isn't your fault. YOU didn't ask to be thrown in around thirty times per page in every bodice-ripper on the shelf! Those who overuse you can kiss your . . . you know. You need to learn to hold your head high and glory in your solitude. You really do have excellent, scholarly tastes. You must never forget that your friend, the period, will be there to support you at the end of every sentence where you truly belong, and, if what is left out is as important as what is said, why, then you are as vital as the alphabet!

Re: What punctuation mark are you?
comma
You scored 76% Sociability and 58% Sophistication! You are happy around most people, and take pleasure in breaking large groups up into smaller, more managable units. This makes you something of a manager, though your subtlety makes it easy for others to overlook this aspect of your character. You are comfortable in most situations, and go about quietly being yourself even if there is chaos errupting all around you. The semicolon makes you a little nervous, but the semicolon makes everyone a little nervous.
My test tracked 2 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 98% on Sociability You scored higher than 30% on Sophistication

I'm an apostrophe.
You move so fast, and appear in so many places, that it is very easy for your friends--and you have a lot of friends--to overlook your subtleties. It's a little sad, in fact, how unappreciated you are. You can sometimes be mistaken for the comma, though you exist at a higher level. Sometimes, especially in England, you are mistaken for quotation marks. And sometimes you are unsure whether you are feeling possessive, or would rather just bring others together (and if something gets lost in the process, well, it's the others' fault). You haven't chosen the easiest life for yourself, but you can be happy knowing you're doing good works. You scored 76% Sociability and 64% Sophistication! How you compared to other people your age and gender: You scored higher than 95% on Sociability You scored higher than 48% on Sophistication Harumph...who do they think they are? I am too sophisticated! I wait till I'm out of the restaurant to use my toothpick, fart and pick out my wedgie. :-D Peace, Amy

Dash
Dash You scored 7% Sociability and 58% Sophistication! There's no denying that you have a certain flair. You don't mind being around others, especially your little brother, the hyphen, but you rarely emerge except when needed. You respond well to those who know how to treat you, but have only contempt for those who don't--you tend to embarass them every chance you get. Your only enemy is the colon--he will sometimes try to move in on your turf.

quotation marks
You scored 61% Sociability and 70% Sophistication! There is a lot more to you than meets the eye. You certainly get plenty of "action," but you'd be happier if those who lusted after you were more selective. You hate being used as a general intensifier; haven't these people ever heard of underlining? Italics? And yes, you remember the cruel words Mr. Joyce directed at you. But you let none of this get you down; those who abuse you are destined for a "special" reward, sooner or later. You feel particularly warm toward periods, commas, exclamation points, and question marks, and usually wish to have them next to you. Parenthesis can sometimes trouble you.

Higher than 9% on Sociability; higher than 65% on Sophistication.
Haven't the fucking faintest what to think of that... Oh well, anyway; the semicolon is kind of appropriate as "my" punctuation mark, don't you think?
