Always have been. I have a wide assortment of orthopedic devices at home- crutches, aircasts, splints.
My first broken bone was in middle school when I stepped off a step wrong and broke my foot. Since then it's been a parade of sports injuries and surgeries. In my defense, I was born with flat kneecaps(subluxating patellas) that dislocate all the time. A lifetime of compensating for this (even with surgeries) has ruined my alignment. I'm just real prone to injuries. This is why I do yoga- to help correct some of this.
So couple this with a "need-to-get-things-done-yesterday" personality and an inherent lack of grace, and you get someone who visits the ER on a regular basis.
